Walter M. Terpin (1923 -2020)

Buffalo, New York artist

I worked mostly in acrylics but have done works in oil and watercolor too.   In my final years, I experimented with producing abstracts using computers.

I went to the Albright Art School in Buffalo during the 1950’s and also attended University at Buffalo’s arts program.  I worked several years as a screenprinter with the Dary Company which supplied silk screens for use by the Birge Wallpaper Company in making their scenic wallpapers.

The bulk of my career was spent at Curbell, Inc. where I did screen printing and managed one of their paint departments.  I retired in 1990, but a lot of my signs can still be seen all around Western New York in hospitals, office buildings and elsewhere.
